Katie Papierniak, LCPC
Katie Papierniak has over 25 years of experience working as a therapist in outpatient settings and private practice conducting individual, family, and group therapy for clients between the ages of 3 and 103. Katie utilizes CBT, DBT, Person-centered, Psychodynamic, and supportive approaches in therapy. She has extensive experience working with ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Divorce, Emotional-dysregulation, Grief/loss, OCD, oppositional and disruptive behaviors, Self-esteem, Stress and Trauma.
Katie believes that life is about relationships. It is within the safety of the therapeutic relationship that change and growth occurs. She utilizes an authentic, easy-going and friendly approach to foster relationships to self and others. Katie meets clients where they are and works with you to collaboratively develop a tailor-made treatment plan that is as individual as you are. She draws on over 25 years of experience as a therapist to help guide you toward growth and resilience.
Katie believes that therapy may be challenging, but not boring. Creativity is mixed into treatment where it applies via art, books, guided- imagery, music, poetry, play and role-plays. All topics are invited to be part of the conversation.
