Dr. Anuja Gadgil
Dr. Anuja Gadgil is bilingual and able to offer services in both English and Marathi.
Dr. Anuja is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who earned her doctorate and master’s degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has completed an internship at a rural community mental health center as well as received training in various settings, such as private practice and an inpatient hospital. Dr. Anuja is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
Dr. Anuja utilizes an integrative approach to therapy. She approaches therapy in a person-centered manner and combines systems, dialectical-behavioral and cognitive therapies. Dr. Anuja aims to meet clients where they are and create a unique treatment plan for each client. She has worked with adolescents, adults, couples, and families who present with concerns such as anxiety, mood difficulties, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, general life difficulties, and trauma. She has experience working with the multiple systems in an individual’s life to collaborate and create a “life worth living.” Dr. Anuja identifies as Indian-American and understands the impact of various diversity factors in one’s life. Therefore, her approach integrates cultural, social, economic, and other factors that sets the individual apart.
Dr. Anuja has experience in completing comprehensive psychological evaluations for individuals across the life span. She has provided services to individuals seeking testing for learning difficulties, attention-related issues, anxiety, socio-emotional functioning, autism, intellectual disability, and decision-making capabilities. Her approach focuses on allowing individuals to understand their abilities and work towards overcoming challenges. Dr. Anuja provides recommendations that are created based on the client’s needs, strengths, and areas of growth.
